My name is Nolan Matthews and I am a photographer and director based in Salt Lake City, UT. My work is all about capturing moments that connect and inspire. I have a deep passion for being outside in new environments and I am drawn to projects in the outdoor, travel, and adventure arenas.

Before becoming a creative professional, I worked behind a desk in a high-flying job. I was depressed, overworked, and in-need of a major life change. I was fortunate enough to find photography and now seek environments that are dynamic, meaningful, and full of passion. Inspiring others to get out of their comfort zone and chase their own dreams is what drives me every single day.

Collaboration is at the heart of what I do and I have built a small, yet mighty creative studio to bring full-scale productions to life. I love working alongside talented teams to bring a creative visions to reality. I regularly collaborate with an incredible network of producers, DPs, Editors, and anyone else who share my drive for storytelling and visual excellence. I’m based in Salt Lake City and love working locally, but I’m always up for an adventure. Travel assignments are a big part of what fuels my creativity and my bag is always packed and ready to roll.
