Nagano Monkey was captured while visiting the Snow Monkey Park in Nagano, Japan. It is quite a spectacle. You sit and watch as the snow monkeys prance in the snow and enjoy relaxing hot tub sessions in the nearby hot springs. This is ironic since most of the humans who visit this region are there for the onsen experience as well!

While most of the images you find of this place feature monkeys basking in the springs, I loved this shot of a mother carrying her baby on her back and walking through the snow. I don’t normally shoot a lot of animals, but this is easily one of my favorites.
